Ask Chris
Here on the V-Diet forum, I see a lot of new T-Muscle members asking me questions in other people’s threads. These are easy for me to miss, plus they sorta hijack the other person’s Velocity Diet thread.
So, here’s a thread for those questions. Fire away.
But remember: One, I may not be able to answer all questions. (You: “Chris, will you write me a complete training and diet program, then come train me and cook for me and give me free supplements…” Me: “Um, no.”) And two, be sure to use our search function and the “Start Here” thread:

Poke around a bit before firing off a question. You may be able to find your answer in 30 seconds instead of waiting on me.
Thanks! Looking forward to your questions!

Welcome to the new Velocity Diet forum!
I’m going to use this thread to post a lot of new info about the V-Diet and to answer some common questions. First a quick summary:
The Velocity Diet has two main purposes:
1) As the name implies, the Velocity Diet leads to a rapid loss of body fat, anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds in 28 days is common. It does this without the loss of muscle mass.
2) The V-Diet also triggers a permanent change is tastes, cravings, and negative food-related behaviors. Most V-Dieters report a loss of desire for junk foods, fast foods, overly sugary foods, and fried foods, while at the same time developing a newfound love for healthier foods like vegetables. They also develop a new sense of dietary control.
The Velocity Diet achieves this through the use of a mostly-liquid nutrition plan lasting 4 weeks. During those 28 days, the V-Dieter drinks several specially formulated protein shakes and takes other supportive supplements. Once per week the V-Dieter has a solid healthy meal (SHM).
After 28 days, there is a two-week period of coming off the diet known as the Transition. At this time, more healthy solid meals are introduced (and typically, additional body fat is lost.)
To accompany the diet, strength and conditioning specialist Chad Waterbury has custom-designed a special weight training program for each stage. There is no cardio on the V-Diet, only extra daily activity known as the NEPA Walk.
In the following posts on this thread, I’ll provide some handy links, a FAQ, and updates on the V-Diet book.
Note: So as not to bury this info in pages and pages of Q & A, I’m going to lock this thread. However, feel free to post your V-Diet questions in this new area of the Magnum forums.
